4 or 5 swipes produces magnificent lather. This is the only hair product I use in the shower because the cocoa bits provide conditioning. I know some people are sensitive to floral smells, but I'm in love with the scent of the shampoo. It smells like rose and wildflowers to me, and a hint of the scent stays on my hair all day long. My favorite thing about this shampoo is that it extends my wash to up to 3 days. I'm also in love with Godiva, but I think Hard has it beat. The best!!

I love this stuff! The water in my area is hard and, because of it, my hair gets fuzzy and difficult to manage. My daughter had visited your store in Canada and told me to check out your website - and I am glad I did! I ordered the Hard shampoo bar with the hope that it would do what the other 10 products I've tried couldn't. And today I have hair that is soft, looks and smells great! No more frizzy, fuzzy hair! Yay!

Out of all the solid shampoos and I love many this one without a doubt is the best! The floral smell is really light and fresh and I love the flowers in it. Also the coco butter and macadamian nut oil really moisturize your hair.

All while magically removing the hard water particles from my hair. The lather is soft and rich and for my super long hair 3 to 4 swipes and I have the best lather. It really removed that red tint in my blonde hair and for that I am in love with this puck.

My hair had so much red and now everyone thinks I lightened my hair because the red is gone! For me I can use this shampoo daily because I have thick, wavy,dry hair. If your hair is thin unless it's really dry it could be too much moisture. I alternate with Veganese and american cream and am so happy I have soft shiny healthy hair back:)

Try it ladies your hair will thank you!

I just got this today and had to use it! I love it it is one of the most beautiful pucks I have seen :D A lovely pink color with flowers in it you have to love washing your hair with flowers!

The smell is fresh and flowery and I did a really good wash today because of the good reviews of how it removes heavy metals like rust from your hair. I was not let down my blonde hair lost some of that hideous brassy red that's in my ash blonde hair.

the lather was beautiful and soft! I followed with some American Cream conditioner and some R&B and my hair is so nice it smells clean and totally looks better!

I bought 2 and I'm so glad I did I will be getting more this is a hair must have. Soft hair in Long Island as we get our harsh water from the city so, this is really a blessing for me! Thank you LUSH for another top notch product!

I'm so glad this is available again! I use it when we're camping and showering in VERY hard well water. If I use any other shampoo, my hair is dull, limp,and impossible to comb, but hard makes my hair its shiny and soooo soft!

I live in an area where the water is just awful. The water is so full of iron it turns all of our white ceramic plumbing this disgusting red-orange color and sometimes even my family's skin orange. So you can imagine what it does to my blonde hair. For years I've had to get expensive treatments and wash it with lemon juice to remove the orange tint. I wanted to try a solid shampoo and thought that this had the most potential. IT WORKS! I don't have to wash with lemon juice any more and my hair looks better than ever! It lathers wonderfully and while the hair doesn't feel soft when you rinse it out, give it a few minutes and it feels wonderful! The scent is very light and clean smelling. I have no idea why this is in Retro, please bring it back!!! It saved my hair!

I have hard water. I mean... so hard, that when I went to get my haircut at my friend's salon, he sat me down, looked at me and said, "Ohhhh... but... you didn't tell me it was *pink*!" Trust me, I hadn't dyed it pink. I have honey blonde hair that got some serious iron staining out in the boonies of WA. SERIOUSLY - After ONE (count em, ONE as in single) use, the rusty tint to my hair has decreased to nearly undetectable levels. My hair is very wavy and every shampoo leaves it feeling like greasy straw after a shower, but that is not the case with Hard. My hair has not felt this soft and clean for about three years now! For some reason, there was a harsh edge to the smell of the bar itself for me, but after rinsing and drying my hair it is barely scented. My husband thinks it smells "clean, like laundry or hot dishes". I *like* that smell, so there ya go. Effective, not too fruity, and lathers better than most in REAL hard water. THANK YOU, Lush!

I bought this and thought first of all it smells amazing. It lathers up really well and left my hair feeling really soft and clean. I did have to use conditioner due to my hair being very thick and curly. I wish they made a conditioner in this scent!!! It is also very handy for traveling with the tin, it's also a great money saver for people with thick hair who go through a ton of shampoo. The bar has lasted me a few months while a bottle of shampoo goes in a couple weeks.

I bought this for the first time last year, I tried it and like how my hair smells as if I have wildflowers in it all day. The smell really sticks with me and I have never had that before. The bar could lather better, I feel like if I could get it to lather with 2-3 swipes in my hair instead of 3-5 I would get it to last longer. But my hair looks shiner and feels better (and make sure to wash and rinse thoroughly or it will leave your hair greasy looking). Although be prepared for funny smells if you use styling products or straighten your hair. I used the jungle conditioner with it and my hair smells like Jane from Tarzan or at least what I think it would smell like.

This shampoo bar makes my hair soooo soft, and shiny, and more managable all around. When using other shampoos trying to comb through the knots was an issue with me, but now my comb glides right through my hair! I keep touching my hair to feel how soft it is.

With it's beautiful pink color and tiny wildflowers it's very pretty to look at, (I just adore those tiny wildflowers!) and I love all the lather it makes.

To me it smells like roses and the scent must stay in my hair for awhile because my husband says my hair smells good. I don't need to use conditioner with Hard and I've found that it lathers better when I use less! No more than 4 swipes on my hair.

I love Hard Shampoo and I will use it as long as I can get it.

Currently living in london, where water is hard and awful. after washing with hard, you must wait for your hair to dry fully to feel the silkiness. i do not blow dry- just air dry. amazed at how silky hair feels (even if you do not use conditioner)

I love the smell of this so much that I also use it as a soap for my whole body...my husband thinks that's great! :) It's a lovely shampoo, but I must use a conditioner with it; something I normally do anyway. Love the convenience of the solid.

I live in Austin, TX, now. It's the sort of place where you have to clean out your shower head to get rid of the hard water deposits about once a week. I tried Hard but didn't notice a difference. The scent is INSANELY floral, almost nauseating. The shampoo also dries out your hair. I would recommend this maybe to someone with oily hair.

I was looking forward to trying this! The water at my college is loaded with chlorine and really dries my hair out. I was really pleased with this shampoo when it arrived; it had a beautiful flowery smell that wasn't overpowering, and I loved it through the first uses; it left my wavy, fine hair soft and shiny and manageable. However, after a couple of weeks, it completely dissolved, even though I kept it in the shampoo bar tin! There's nothing left but the chunks of conditioner; a big disappointment. I'd used squeaky green for months before it fell apart. Though I loved this while it lasted, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

This makes my hair feel much softer than before and gets some of the mineral deposits out of my hair. I smells a little overly floral for my liking, but I can live with it. My only complaint is this contains lanolin [...]and I didn't realize this wasn't vegan before buying.I plan on using it up because it's good and I don't want to waste, but I would love to see LUSH replace the lanolin with something else.

After seeing so many good reviews for this product, I was excited when getting Hard in the mail. I thought it was going to make my hair be like the most wonderful creations of mankind. Or at least in my neighborhood.
It smells great and it keeps its scent. But despite that, after using it for a few weeks, ive noticed no major difference in my hair.

I've always had out-of-town guests complain about how hard the water is here in Las Vegas, but I've never really known anything else. I cheated on my Seanik and bought this fun colored puck to see if it would really make a difference with the harshness of our water. After a VERY STRONG, super florally lather i rinsed and dried to find...clean, soft, shiny hair that my coworkers later said made me smell like fresh flowers (I work at a salon. It takes a lot to impress hair stylists).
Definitely meant to be kept in a tin, with the cocoa butter bits. The smell stays after the shower, and my hair has never looked better.

Service and delivery comments:

The cocoa butter in it melted on route to my house, and it all settled into one half of the bar (the other half had gaps where the CB had been). Beware if you live in a hot climate.

maybe i got a bad batch...but i didn't think there was enough cocoa butter in it, and there were too many rose petals. doesn't soften my hair like godiva does. not a huge fan of the scent...a bit too old ladyish for me. but cleans well enough.
